Our first formal parade of the year - Wednesday 12th November to mark Remembrance day
Wow – Wednesday evening – this is what BB is all about and why I do it. I’ve been brewing a message about the core BB value of self–discipline – but then this just came in from a parent, says it all so perfectly;
Hi,
I just wanted to say that I thought the parade went great! My husband and I are really grateful that you teach the boys discipline for the sake of discipline.
I was very impressed and proud to see my son marching in in silence, standing still for so long, and listening to the remembrance talk. I wish his teacher at school could see what he is capable of! At school they have always told me he cannot stand in line properly...
He was also proud of himself, and he really wishes to be good at finger marching (well, this is what he tells me! not sure if he is that good with you all the time!).
Each time I go to a BB event I am amazed and inspired! So thank you for that opportunity to witness your good work, for teaching my son something his school has never thought him capable of, for giving him a reason to be proud of himself.
Keep up the good work!
PS: The talk was also good! I enjoyed it.
And this from another parent, who’s son is fairly new to BB and they are fairly new to the UK;
Hi Jeff,
The event absolutely impressed him very much, as he kept talking about it and he wanted to share with his classmates all about it as well. Thank you!
Best,
The first photo is the grave of my Great Uncle who died on the 11th of the 11th 1917 (and which I visited on the 11/11/2014) while serving in Belgium and inspired the talk.
