What will we do each week? Boys Brigade at 2nd Reading have been passionate about helping boys develop into outstanding young men for the last 90 years. Our principle approach has been through positive male role modelling, achieved through a varied programme based upon life skill activities, high energy sports and outward bound events including DofE expeditions- all supported by  bible teaching and encouraging personal faith in Jesus. Following the ManMade resource we'll use this mix of activities with an emphasis on fun and building friendships, but also on developing self discipline.
Do I have to come on the Residentials? - No, but we'd strongly recommend and encourage you to come. The great stuff happens on trips. See all the examples on this website. Cost is never an issue.
Do I have to join Boys Brigade? Technically, yes, for the period of the course. That just means completing our consent form. Afterwards we'll see what you'd like to do. BB is flexible and can run as a non uniformed, and informal youth group.
