The Orphanages

We ran an afternoon kidz club at the local orphanage- about 1/2 a mile from the build site. . Every group took their turn and we led on Tuesday. Space was cramped - (there was a problem with he usual venue) but the lads all dug in and we had a full on but fun time with around 120 children. Then on Sunday , we all visited the 'Nkosi's Haven' HIV/Aids orphanage on the outskirts on Johannesburg. This isn't a Christian orphanage but the founder and director - Gail Johnson - was truly inspiring and has plans to grow the accommodation and venture so she can accept more children - from the current 110 (and 30 mums) to over 200. We will wonder and consider if we can help with this going forward. see www.nkosishaven.org  for more info.
