Boys' Brigade senior 5-aside football - national finals - Dundee - Saturday 26th April 2014

Over the last three years we have travelled far and wide for national BB competitions - Wales, the South Coast, London, Kent & Essex, the Midlands, North Yorks - but for the first time we've had to fly. We enjoyed a fantastic weekend, the adventure of journey (we only just caught the plane on the way back as the organisor read the arrival time not the departure time !). The football - (although we came 5th we were finding our form towards the end), the totally unexpected enjoyment of being hosted in an army barracks - and getting to know the other English side - a great group from Liverpool. And then on Sunday sightseeing - Arbroath (where Mike showed us all the landmarks from his childhood & youth), improvised football games; St Andrews (to watch Liverpool vs Chelsea) and Edinburgh-where we had a surprise visitor. A proper BB weekend. I was just disappointed the boys didn't try to play football in the plane !
