Chaps - you are becoming an endangered species! Consider ....
"It will be a rare sight to see a man in church in 10 years time." .... if current trends continue says the leading UK church researcher & author.
"The church will be dead in 20 years time!" .... stated one of our female youth leader. It's not just the men who are not connecting to church; the church is failing to connect to the current millenials en bloc. See the articles below for more details.
And if you do make it to the church, but stay single - you'll have an even harder time - says leading writer - Nick Page. "There is a great deal of theorising about why the church fails to attract men. But maybe part of the problem lies in the kind of church they are being asked to join."- see full article below.
So if you're 16 to 25ish - then come on the BB Houseparty - where obviously we'll have a lot of fun - the Thurso Centre is a great self contained venue with space for chill, good food, taching & worship and games etc - and has access to the sports hall & 5 aside courts at Felden Lodge. If it's not too wet this year we could attempt some wide games etc. (Beds & pillows provided- just bring a sleeping bag).
But let's also have some great discussions. Led by the young adults I'm hoping we can begin to explore these sorts of issues;

- How can BB help during 2017 - what are the top 5 things BB can start doing, be more intentional about, provide guidance - and feed back at the leaders meal on Wednesday 11th Jan
- Assuming that church will not 'change radically and quickly' - what are the support networks you can put in place to enable your faith to thrive even if you're not connecting at church?
