Lakes Trip 2016 - 17th - 21st February 2016
Following a break last year - when we didn't have the house - so did the HMS Belfast trip instead we return to 'Mugisha' again in 2016. We're taking 7 lads & 4 leaders and we're hoping to have the usual great time. Details are below the photos.
Staying at : Mugisha, Woodhouse Lane, Heversham, Milnthorpe, Cumbria, LA7 7EW house phone: 01539564833
Essential Equipment
1. Warm fleece/ woolly hat
2. Warm gloves.
3. Warm coat
4. Base layers, ideally a fleece and warm t shirts.
5. Waterproofs – both tops and trousers (we can help with these)
6. Water bottle & head torch
7. Decent day ruck sack to carry kit – ideally 25 to 35 litres – I have a couple of spares if needed.
a. they will need space for additional equipment eg. A trangia and food, an emergency tent , mountain 1st aid kit etc. – ie. They need more space than for what they have – 25 to 35 litres
b. Also – they won’t be cold all the time so they need space to carry heavier coats etc. – it’s all about layers.
8. Walking boots are ideal, walking shoes are acceptable – but certainly no trainers for walking.
a. Thick walking socks.
9. They also need thin layers for the caving.
Also , it would really help to get off early – can we get to Phil’s for 7.30am so we can leave by 8am ? They will also need a packed lunch.
I’ve attached the consent form again, I’ll make a copy of it for our purposes as well.
